STEM Mentoring matches a volunteer mentor with a group of 4 mentees, ages 6-9, to meet with the group for an hour each week at the Club/center, where they connect through fun, hands-on activities like building a motorized LEGO model, playing sports to practicing math skills and learning about environmental conversation. The program helps build caring relationships with the mentees that assist with reaching mentee goals. Mentors receive training and support from the STEM Mentoring Program Coordinator.
